maurices Ramps Up Store Openings in Time for The Holidays
Sixteen Recent Store Openings

DULUTH, Minn., Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Staying on track with Ascena Retail Group Inc.'s (NASDAQ – ASNA), expansion plan, subsidiary brand maurices will open sixteen stores in time for the 2014 holiday season.

These expansions will put maurices at 938 stores, and are steadily advancing toward their goal of having more than 1,300 stores in the United States and Canada. Each new store will house product from the recent activewear launch, maurices inMOTION, as well as fresh, affordable fashions in sizes 1-24.

"We're excited to open these stores in time for busy holiday shoppers," says George Goldfarb, President of maurices. "This season is all about making sure the customer gets what she wants, how she wants it. We're investing in omni-channel marketing with mobile, social commerce and eCommerce initiatives and with the rollout of maurices inMOTION to all stores, we are her one-stop shop for fulfilling her wishlist."

Stores will celebrate opening week by offering guests $25 off any $75 purchase made in store.
